WHAT ARE WISDOM TEETH?

Wisdom teeth often identified as third molars are the teeth that erupt lastly. When it comes to Wisdom Teeth, the problem is that in case they do not emerge properly or are misaligned, they should be extracted since poorly aligned Wisdom Teeth can damage the adjacent teeth.

WHAT PROBLEMS CAN A WISDOM TOOTH CAUSE?

It is also possible that the wisdom teeth remain intact in the soft tissue and partially break or erupt through the gums.

If this happens, chances are, bacteria can invade the tooth. That might cause infection & lead to swelling in the jaw, pain, and general illness.

Due to the misaligned position of the jaw, you will face a hard time when brushing or flossing. This will lead your tooth decay and gum disease.

4 sets of wisdom teeth are there; two on each upper and lower jaw.

In the present, due to lifestyle changes people commonly do not get wisdom teeth. This happens because the jaws do not show a proper development that helps to Wisdom Teeth to erupt.

IS THERE A NEED TO REMOVE WISDOM TEETH?

You won’t require to extract wisdom teeth as long as they are not causing any problem. However, they should be removed if they are impacted or causing crowding.
